# ic\_diving

### What is ic\_diving?

ic\_diving is a complete deep-sea diving and salvage system for FiveM. Players gear up at a dive center, rent a boat, and dive into marked zones to recover sunken treasure from the seabed. A tiered sonar puts a radar on the HUD to hunt for salvage, oxygen and decompression keep every dive tense, and the finds are sold to an antique dealer whose prices rise and fall with what the whole server is selling.

It is a full activity loop: dive, salvage, sell, take contracts, and level up to unlock deeper, richer — and more dangerous — waters.

### Key Features

#### 🤿 Realistic Diving Systems

Oxygen that drains faster the deeper you go, water temperature that drops with depth, and decompression sickness — rise too fast from a deep dive and the diver gets the bends: blurred, shaking vision and steady health loss until it wears off.

#### 📈 Unlimited Leveling & Titles

Levels never stop. XP comes from a configurable curve rather than a fixed table, and diver **titles** (Novice Diver → Poseidon's Equal) are earned purely by level.

#### 🗺️ Multiple Diving Zones

Polygon- or circle-shaped zones, each level-gated and fully configurable: loot tables, containers, treasure chests, respawn times, XP, and map blips. Loot points snap to the real sea floor as a diver gets close.

#### 🔊 Tiered Sonar

The sonar is a usable item, not part of the suit. Switch one on and it sweeps a forward-facing cone in front of the diver, marking nearby salvage as contacts by direction and distance. Better sonars reach further, scan wider, and update faster.

#### 💡 Dive Lights

Tiered dive lights that light up the seabed. Each is its own usable item; only works underwater.

#### 🦈 Shark Attacks

Optional. A shark can appear on a deep dive and go straight for the diver. The behaviour is fully **scripted** (not the game's combat AI), so "calm AI" resources can't switch it off. Fight back with a knife or swim for the surface. Any single zone can be made a safe zone.

#### 💰 Dynamic Dealer Economy

Every salvage item has a price that moves with supply and demand, shared server-wide. Selling drops a price; leaving it alone lets it climb back to base. Now and then the dealer wants one random item more than usual and pays over the odds.

#### 📋 Salvage Contracts

Auto-generated jobs posted at the dive center, built from the salvage the diver's level can actually reach. Deadlines run in real time and survive a relog. Pays more than selling the same items yourself, plus XP.

#### ⚓ Boat Rental & Anchor

Rent boats at the dock (level-gated). A refundable deposit comes back when the boat is returned. Drop the anchor over a zone so the boat holds in place while you dive.

#### 💎 Treasure Hunts

Treasure maps are a rare find. Using one marks a search area on the GPS — but the chest only reads differently on the sonar, so a map is really only usable by a diver carrying one.

#### 🖥️ Custom NUI

A clean interface: the Dive Center window (guide, equipment shop, boats, contracts, stats & leaderboard), the Antique Dealer price board, and a dive HUD with a compass ribbon and sonar scope.

#### 🔌 Framework / Inventory / Target Bridges

No hard dependency on one framework. Automatic detection of the framework, inventory, and (optional) target system in use.

### How It Works

#### 1. Visit the Dive Center

Players find the Dive Center NPC on the map (marked with a blip). Here they buy equipment and rent a boat.

#### 2. Gear Up

Buy a diving suit and an oxygen tank, then **use** the suit to put it on and attach the tank. Fins, a dive light, and a sonar are separate items — buy and use each one for an easier dive.

#### 3. Reach a Diving Zone

Diving zones are marked on the map and unlock as your diver level rises. Sail out to one and (optionally) drop the anchor with **G** so the boat holds in place.

#### 4. Dive

Submerge and start salvaging. Mind your oxygen, rise slowly from deep dives to avoid decompression sickness, and watch for sharks. Read the sonar to locate salvage on the seabed — every contact looks alike until you get close.

#### 5. Salvage

Press **E** on a find to bring it up. Some are single items; others are crates, safes, or chests holding several things at once.

#### 6. Sell

Take the haul to the Antique Dealer. Prices rise and fall with demand, so it pays to watch the board and spread out big sales.

#### 7. Contracts

Accept salvage contracts at the dive center for bonus money and XP. Deliver the whole list at once for the reward.

#### 8. Level Up

Salvage, treasure, and contracts all earn XP. Higher levels unlock new, richer diving zones, higher titles, and better boats and gear.

### Resource Compatibility
